Green Scene: Avocado, Mango And Lime Smoothie

Avocados feature in several of the smoothies in our book as they create a silky smooth and creamy texture without the need for bananas or dairy products. However, in this creamy smoothie, avocado is no mere accessory; rather, it's the star ingredient! We combine it with a generous amount of lime juice for freshness, as well as mango and dates for sweetness. The result is an ultra-lush and creamy smoothie with a flavor that reminds us of Key lime pie.

Ingredients
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 ripe mango
  • 2-4 soft dried dates
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • Juice of 1-2 limes
Directions
  1. Add the avocado and mango flesh to a blender along with the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Blend on a high speed until completely smooth.
  3. Taste and adjust the sweetness and sourness to your liking by adding more dates and/or lime juice if necessary.
  4. Pour into two medium-sized glasses and serve cold.
