Black Bison Vodka Cocktail Recipe
One of modern man's great drinking dilemmas is finding a summer drink that features in-season fruits or berries but doesn't glow in the dark or cause one to look, well, like a girl while holding it. Food Republic reached out to Angelo Viera, general manager for the Sunset Lounge at the Mondrian in Miami Beach, and challenged him to create a fruit-based drink that's strong enough for a man.
From his picturesque perch at the Mondrian's bar, which looks out over a pool scene that can sometimes push the Miami thermometer up a few notches and out toward Biscayne Bay and celeb-studded Star Island, Viera responded with this: The Black Bison Vodka cocktail. It mixes the gritty deliciousness of fresh blackberries, the smooth black raspberry flavor of Chambord and the earthy notes of bison grass vodka by Zubrowka. Serve it up in a tall glass or a pint glass and stand tall.
- 4 fresh blackberries
- 2 bar spoons Demerara Sugar
- 50 milliliters Zubrowka bison grass vodka
- 15 milliliters fresh lime juice
- 15 milliliters Crème de mure
- 15 milliliters Chambord
- splash Club Soda
- Muddle the blackberries.
- Combine the muddled blackberries and all other ingredients and shake.
- Pour into a tall glass.
