Experience

Jocelyn started her media career in nonfiction film production as a researcher, editor, and field producer in New Orleans, where she helped produce short videos on the food and entertainment scene for the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau. From there, she became a reporter for the Houston Chronicle and an editor, then managing editor, with Community Impact Newspapers. Moving into the magazine world, she spent two years writing food and beverage news and feature stories for Meetings + Events magazine. After a stint as editor-in-chief for FMJ, the magazine of the International Facility Management Association, she moved into the world of corporate copywriting and freelance food writing.

Education

Jocelyn earned her B.A. in media arts from Tulane University before moving on to earn her M.S. in library and information science from Drexel University. Her experience in research and multimedia production informs her reporting.
