When it comes to the increasingly crowded world of fashion collaborations, there's the wrong way to do them. (For example: Yeezy, the lampooned line of "clothing" from Kanye West and Adidas.)

Then there's the right way to do them, as evidenced by this handsome apron by fellow Southerners and good pals, fashion designer Billy Reid and chef and cookbook author John Besh. The design collaboration comes as a result of Besh's newest cookbook, Besh Big Easy, which just came out yesterday. It's a collection of 101 recipes celebrating New Orleans (Besh's hometown), and a fun, warm, and engaging (much like the chef himself) read.

The American-made apron, priced at $95, is graced with understated, but stylish details, like lightweight orange line selvedge denim, deep pockets accented with copper rivets, a leather tie, and an adjustable neck strap. Flip over the apron, and you'll discover a Sazerac recipe and a quote by Besh that rings true for many home cooks: "Every great recipe begins with a great drink." On top of it all, proceeds from each apron sale will go to the John Besh Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is helping the local food community rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.
