Bobby Flay on Portlandia? We like the sound of this. The celeb chef's latest foray into acting — after a kinda weird arc as Ari's ex-wife's new boyfriend on a waning Entourage — has him joining the quirky hipsters on IFC this Friday night at 11 p.m. for Portlandia: The Brunch Special.

Portlandia: The Brunch Special features a never-before-seen look into the making of season two's finale "Brunch Village." Flay stars as himself as he helps co-creator and director Jonathan Krisel on his quest to create the world's most perfect marionberry pancakes for the finale. Fans also will be treated to the director's cut of the episode in which co-creators Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live) and Carrie Brownstein (Wild Flag, Sleater-Kinney) star as some of the series most beloved characters including feminist bookstore owners Toni and Candace and overly eco-conscious couple Peter and Nance as they navigate the complex ecosystem that is the line for Portland's new brunch hotspot, Fisherman's Porch.
