Starbucks Has 2 New Valentine's Day Drinks For Sweeter Coffee Dates
Things may seem a little gloomy since the reign of pumpkin spice lattes and peppermint mochas came to an end with the holiday season, but the festivities rarely ever stop at Starbucks. Less than a month into the new year, the coffee chain has already rolled out seasonal drinks and merch to keep its fans fueled, including the pistachio latte, which returned on its 2024 winter menu, and a new drinkware collection featuring the Wood Dragon for the Lunar New Year.
There's even more that fans can look forward to in the coming month: With the season of love and friendship right around the corner, the chain is set to launch two new drinks in time for Valentine's Day. Starting January 30, fans will be able to order the Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew, which features hazelnut syrup and chocolate cream cold foam — all topped with a chocolate cookie crumble. Joining the cold brew is an all-new Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino in hues of pink and red. Inspired by the classic V-Day dessert that is chocolate-covered strawberries, the Frappuccino will feature a layer of strawberry puree that is topped with an icy blend of more strawberry puree, milk, and chocolatey java chips, all completed with a swirl of whipped cream.
It's truly love at first sip for Valentine's Day lovers
Starbucks is calling its two Valentine's Day drinks the Love at First Sip duo, both of which can be ordered at company-operated stores across the U.S. or through the mobile ordering app. Fans can expect a grande-sized Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie Cold Brew to cost between $5.25 to $5.75 depending on the region, and for the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Crème Frappuccino to be priced between $5.95 to $6.75.
The two cold beverages aren't the only Valentine's Day addition to Starbucks stores though: There's new drinkware to look forward to as well. There are two new 24-ounce cold cups: One comes adorned with hearts, hydrangeas, and a heart-shaped straw topper, and the other is a tri-colored gradient tumbler inspired by the colors of conversation hearts. Starbucks' color-changing cups are getting a rehaul too as a set of six 16-ounce tumblers is slated to retail at $19.95.
Fans visiting a Starbucks store inside Target will find an exclusive teal-colored floral mug, and other participating stores elsewhere will carry new V-Day-themed glass water bottles. Whether you enter a Starbucks store to order a Love at First Sip duo or buy the Valentine's Day merch though, don't forget to carry a reusable cup with you — it's 10 cents off the bill and 25 stars in Starbucks rewards to sweeten the deal!
