Krispy Kreme Debuts 2023 Pumpkin Spice Lineup With 4 New Donuts

To the delight of many, Krispy Kreme is jumpstarting the fall season on August 7 with the release of some seriously autumn-inspired donut treats. Those who crave everything pumpkin-spiced will be delighted to know that two Krispy Kreme fan favorites are returning: Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut and Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut. But, this year, the iconic donut company is also debuting the Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl Doughnut and the Pumpkin Spice Maple Pecan Doughnut. 

With the summer sun still beating down on the country, anyone who is looking forward to cooler weather, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin patches can at least fantasize about such things as they bite into these seriously craveable pastries. Krispy Kreme certainly knows the appeal of the limited-time pumpkin spice flavor and recognizes that fans wait all year for its return. It feels like the warm spice makes an appearance earlier and earlier every year, but this release is on track with what the brand did last year, as it released its seasonal goodies on August 8, which was a month earlier than it did in 2021.

Both new donut flavors use the classic Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut as a base. The Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl Doughnut has a swirl of pumpkin buttercream icing and cream cheese icing and the top is dusted with cinnamon sugar. The Maple Pecan version is dipped in maple icing and then sprinkled with pieces of candied pecan. Of course, plenty of people will agree that a donut tastes best with a cup of coffee, and Krispy Kreme has that covered as well.

Along with the release of its four pumpkin spice donuts, the company is also bringing back its popular Pumpkin Spice Latte, available hot, iced, or frozen and blended, and Pumpkin Spice Coffee, which is available hot or iced. Like the names suggest, the coffees feature warming notes of pumpkin and baking spices. Krispy Kreme pumpkin spice donuts and coffees are available in-store for pickup, or you can have them delivered via the company's app and website. 

Some grocery stores will also sell six-pack boxes of the new Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Swirl and Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts benefiting those who may not live close to Krispy Kreme shops. Whether you're ready for fall or not, there is no doubt that the taste of the season has officially arrived.
