Get The Most Out Of Disney's Food & Wine Festival With Eat To The Beat Concerts
Disney World might seem like it's all about the kids, but don't forget that Disney Parks put a lot of effort into keeping adults happy as well. Case in point is Disney's Food & Wine Festival, which will take place in EPCOT from July 27 to November 18, 2023.
If you know where to go, Disney has incredible options for wine tastings and fine dining, and EPCOT is the center of this culinary wonderland. Because, as everyone knows, the best part of traveling to a new country (even if it's a fake prop set of medieval Germany) is eating the food.
At this year's festival, you can go on a six-continent cheese tour with Emile's Fromage Montage or visit global marketplaces for specialty food and drinks in France, Canada, Japan, Morocco, and all the other countries represented in EPCOT.
But if you're going to Disney's Food & Wine Festival, you won't want to miss the Eat to the Beat concerts.
Eat the Beat concerts
Throughout the three-and-a-half months of the festival, nightly concerts will take place at the American Gardens Theater in The American Adventure Pavilion. Fitting, given the all-American lineup of acts from the last four decades.
The diverse lineup features artists as varied as R&B Soul Pop group Boyz II Men, pop rock group We The Kings, to reggae legends the Baha Men. Bigger artists will feature on the weekends, while weekdays will be given to local acts from the Orlando area. There are "American Idol" alums like Haley Reinhart, former NSYNC members (we're looking at you, Joey Fatone), and early 2000s cult favorites like Hoobastank, as well as several Latin music acts. There's sure to be something for everyone, though by the looks of it, the lineup is definitely geared toward parents — be they millennial, Gen X, or Boomer — than their kids.
Reservations and packages
There is no additional cost to attend the concerts once you have purchased a pass for EPCOT. (Theme park tickets run around $109 per day, which these days is kind of reasonably priced for three concert acts.)
Since the Eat to the Beat festival offers a variety of time slots (5:30 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8 PM every day), this gives you the option to catch a few acts or pop in and out, and it's great as either a pre-or post-dinner plan to keep the kids entertained between their meal and after dark fireworks.
If you want to get reserved seats for these concerts, you can purchase an additional package, the Eat to the Beat Dining Package, which comes with reserved seats and a three-course meal (appetizer, main dish, and dessert) for either lunch or dinner for the day of that particular concert. Packages vary between $35 and $95 for adults, depending on the participating restaurants across the different areas in the park. (Children eat for much less.)
The complete schedule for the Eat to the Beat concert series can be found on Disney's website.
