These Giant Doughnuts Are About To Hit Miami

Powdered, jelly-filled, sprinkled and glazed doughnuts large enough to satiate Lady Liberty herself hit the art scene December 5-10 at the Art Miami festival.

Artist Peter Anton sculpts enormous versions of chocolates, burgers, slices of cake, ice cream sandwiches and is bringing his box of 10 doughnuts to Florida. Expertly decorated to look just like the real deal, Anton even includes grease stains where giant pastries may have once lived.

Anton says that doughnuts represent a warmness to him.

"Doughnuts are so Americana," Anton wrote in an email. "The energy and excitement that a box of doughnuts brings to a room is so special. Everyone can connect to a warm fond memory that this amazing comfort food produces."

Once doughnuts have had their fun, Anton says he's moving on to macarons. We'd like to request chocolate peanut butter, please.
