Melissa McCarthy Stars In New Cooking Contest Mockumentary
World's best Sean Spicer-impersonator Melissa McCarthy is going back to her cooking roots (see Sookie St. James in Gilmore Girls) in Cook Off, a mockumentary-style film about a cooking contest.
Set in a hotel convention room, contestants from all over the country are tasked with preparing a signature dish for the grand prize of $1 million. McCarthy's character prepares what looks like an iteration of a sweet potato casserole with unwashed hands. The crowd boos. Hilarity ensues.
Other stars include Wendi McLendon-Covey, Louie Anderson, Niecy Nash, Ben Falcone and Cathryn Michon, who also serves as co-director.
The movie hits theaters November 17, just in time for Thanksgiving! Check out the trailer below.
