Mid-Atlantic Chefs Join Eagles Of Death Metal At Sweetgreen's 2016 Food And Music Festival

Organizers of the sonic and savory Sweetlife Festival have announced an all-star lineup of musical acts and "culinary partners" for this year's big event, taking place on Saturday, May 14, at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. On stage, British rock group the 1975, American singer Halsey and Australian electronica maestro Flume will headline the sweet-sounding portion of the program. Other notable performers include the very-much-in-the-news Eagles of Death Metal and timeless crooner Blondie. Meanwhile, revelers will enjoy "elevated concert concessions" by some of the best chefs in the mid-Atlantic region, including Mr. Tapas himself, José Andrés, along with Baltimore's James Beard Award–winning Spike Gjerde and Washington, D.C.'s Erik Bruner-Yang (one of Food Republic's New Chefs Rising).

Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 26, at 10 a.m. EST via ticketfly.com. Rates are $100 per person for lawn views, $125 for pavilion seating and $150 for the VIP section.

Now in its seventh year, the Sweetlife Festival is spearheaded by the founders of Sweetgreen, the trendy salad chain. Early birds can get access codes to presale tickets by following the company's Twitter feed: @sweetgreen.
