At Long Last, A Hybrid Latke-Chicken Finger To Win Hanukkah!

We're pretty crazy about the lineup at NYC's premier house of fried chicken strips, Sticky's Finger Joint. We've touted many of their 30+ daily flavors, including personal favorites buffalo balsamic maple and French onion crema fingers. In the spirit of "no holiday left behind," the chicken masters are rolling out their newest creation — a latke-themed finger aptly named "The Latka" — at both of their Manhattan locations, December 5 through Christmas Eve. This year Hanukkah runs December 16 (sundown) to December 24.

The all-natural, hormone-free chicken gets its traditional bath in spiced buttermilk, then a dunk in a batter of grated onions, shredded potato and matzoh meal. Fried to a golden-brown crisp, the formidable hybrid snacks come with "sour cream and a cinnamon glitter-banged applesauce" to dip (as referenced in the Torah). If you're going to fire up the fryer, make a big crunchy statement out of it, like "Happy Hanukkah, party people!"
