Last year in Berkeley, Noah and Rae Bernamoff of Brooklyn's Mile End attended the Deli Summit to discuss the direction of Jewish food and deli culture. Since then they've been working on a way to continue the conversation. On October 12th the Bernamoffs host a Shabbat dinner for the NYC Wine and Food Festival — they've invited deli friends from around the country to join us in preparing a 9-course meal (so book your tickets now).

On Saturday October 13th, along with Tablet magazine and ABC Home, Noah and Rae are presenting the Future of Jewish Food, a tasting and talk with the country's foremost practitioners, thinkers and critics. Join them from 6 to 9 PM at the ABC Home Mezzanine where Gail Simmons, Mitchell Davis, Jordana Rothman and Josh Ozersky will participate in a panel moderated by Joan Nathan about Jewish food in the home. Not enough for you? There's a second panel with the deli men from Wise Sons (San Francisco), Kenny & Zuke's (PDX), Saul's (Berkeley) and of course Mile End, moderated by Save The Deli author David Sax.

After all the talking there will be a tasting of housemade pastrami from each of the delis, plus a book signing with all of the panelists. Come show your love for one of the most satisfying cuisines on earth with the people ensuring it sticks to your ribs for a good long time. You can buy tickets here.
