Cherry Slice Vodka Cocktail Recipe
The 2012 U.S. Open is heading into the weekend, and the drama is building. Will Andy Roddick's retirement inspire him to one last Finals showdown? Can Roger Federer follow up his Wimbledon championship with a title in Flushing? Is Andy Murray finally ready to break through and win a Slam? Can Serena Williams win her elusive fourth U.S. Open singles title?
All good questions, but we were more interested in another quandary the other night when we were making our way toward Arthur Ashe Stadium — namely, what were all those people waiting in line for at the Grey Goose bars? We asked, and Grey Goose answered, providing us (and you) with their Cherry Slice Recipe.
The cocktail is a conduit for Cherry Noir vodka, a French play on black cherry, we suppose. But it comes garnished with a fresh cherry, so it's seasonally driven for extra appeal!
- 2 parts Grey Goose Cherry Noir Vodka
- 3/4 part fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 3/4 part simple syrup
- splash of Club Soda
- Combine the Cherry Noir vodka, lemon juice and simple syrup.
- Top with splash of club soda, and stir gently. Garnish with a cherry.
