Great GoogaMooga Announces Wine Tent
This May 19 and 20, Brooklyn's Prospect Park will be home to an extravagant food, drink and music festival whimsically named: The Great GoogaMooga. With a lineup of 75 impressive food vendors including Roberta's, Red Rooster, Porchetta and The Spotted Pig (for more, watch the cool claymation video embedded below), the Great GoogaMooga could hold its own solely as a food festival. But they're not stopping there. Ten artists a day will play concerts on the festival's two stages and to top it all off, there will be obscene amounts of quality wine and beer.
Yesterday, Superfly Presents announced details about their "Wine Experience" portion of GoogaMooga. Under a 120-foot long tent, guests will be able to taste or purchase full glasses of over 100 wines while mingling with top winemakers, importers and sommeliers. Paul Grieco of Hearth Restaurant, Terroir and the Food Republic–approved Summer of Riesling will head up the Wine Experience along with Superfly's Director of Wine Programming, Peter Eastlake. The tent will also have an "Ask the Sommelier" station, where you can pepper some of New York's elite sommeliers with wine-related questions.
