Photo Gallery: Outside MAD Foodcamp
This past weekend, Food Republic correspondent Jody Eddy reported from Mad Foodcamp in Copenhagen, Denmark. The symposium, organized by René Redzepi and featuring top chefs, farmers, purveyors and scientists from around the world, was meant to provoke discussions about "how to build a healthier and more sustainable food culture."
Outside the tent where the panels and presentations took place, Redzepi showcased food producers who put their money where his mouth is. These producers displayed natural ingredients that visually illustrate why these advanced food thinkers have a point about using fresh ingredients. Just looking at these items, you get the sense that they would taste better than anything you can get at your local market (unless your local market emphasizes products from organic farms and local purveyors).
